In my initial review youtu.be/oaOpgrfLqGI the DVR footage was too dark compared to the VISTA. I tested different settings to find out what looks best. Pretty happy with the result - hope it helps you!
Lowlight handling can be great (the CHIP is larger than VISTA) but their exposure algorithm needs an update:
If you fly with high cam angle and have dark ground with bright sky, the sky is preferred and dangerous twigs can hide in the darkness ;)
As you see here: if you just fly in a dark place, the ISO goes up really high (I love that you can import the SRT file to see dynamic ISO readouts)
To the cam as an actioncam substitute:
for me the quality is really nice. No gopro11 for productions, but definitly good enough to share some fun flights on youtube! D-Cinelike gives you some more room for color grading (but also more work).
I'm really happy with the signal quality! Even in low bitrate situations you get stable and smooth life feed. Very nice to fly with.
