I tested the DJI Neo 2 against the original DJI Neo in a tight apple orchard to see how well they could track me in a more difficult real-world environment.
This was not meant to be a perfect scientific test. It was more of a tracking stress test with branches, trees, tight paths, and two small DJI drones trying to follow the same person at the same time.
The original DJI Neo does not have real obstacle avoidance, while the DJI Neo 2 adds LiDAR and improved tracking. But how much does that actually help when the environment gets messy?
