This is the updated "Mavic Pro How to rollback to .400 firmware using VMWare" video. Big props to all the guys at who helped make this happen. I edited to remove the download process (as its no longer valid) and anonymized it. This starts after you've downloaded the image file and 7zip already.
This process will work on Mac and PC. There are two flavors of the image out there, the straight up snapshot (which is in my vid) and a hibernate snapshot, both will work the same! If you are getting CPUID errors in VMWare, use the hibernate one. I am not posting a link to the VMware download. You gotta find that yourself, maybe the community can share it or bing it. I just wanted to document the process as many of us watch vidoes better than read text.
**** NOTE: Some are having gimbal issues after downgrading from .800 or .900. Most can fix via gimbal calibration. Others had to go back to .800 then back to .400. Some others could not fix the issue. You are cautioned, please be safe with this, i will not be held responsible if your gimbal goes apeshit.
