When it comes to action cameras, the DJI Action 5 Pro and Insta360 Ace Pro stand out as some of the best in the market for stunning visuals, but audio often plays an equally critical role, especially for vloggers, filmmakers, and content creators. In this video, I dive deep into the **audio performance** of these two cameras when paired with external microphones, including the highly anticipated DJI Mic 2 and the compact yet powerful GODOX Cube SC.
🎤 What I Tested:
1. DJI Mic 2 on the DJI Action 5 Pro
- Seamless Bluetooth integration makes this pairing a dream for creators. The DJI Action 5 Pro's advanced Bluetooth technology ensures crystal-clear audio quality with minimal latency.
2. DJI Mic 2 on the Insta360 Ace Pro
- The good news: the DJI Mic 2 is compatible with the Ace Pro!
- The less-good news: the performance isn’t as refined. While the audio is decent, the lack of advanced Bluetooth support on the Ace Pro means it falls slightly short of the smooth and reliable performance you get with the Action 5 Pro.
3. GODOX Cube SC with the DJI Action 5 Pro
- This mic was tested exclusively with the DJI Action 5 Pro, and it delivered solid results. From range tests to audio clarity, the GODOX Cube SC performed well, offering another great option for those using the DJI Action 5 Pro.

- DJI Action 5 Pro:
- Clearly outshines the competition when it comes to integrating external microphones. The audio quality with the DJI Mic 2 is top-notch, and the GODOX Cube SC performed excellently during range tests.
- If you need reliable, high-quality sound for your projects, the DJI Action 5 Pro has the edge.
- Insta360 Ace Pro:
- While the camera is excellent for visuals, audio integration isn’t its strongest suit. Using the DJI Mic 2 is possible, but the sound quality and connection stability are not as strong as on the DJI Action 5 Pro.
