Django Reinhardt was one of Joe's earliest and biggest influences (although not necessarily stylistically)... in fact, Joe's breakout album 'For Django' (1964) was primarily inspired by his work.
To highlight the influence of Django's music on Joe Pass, I've selected several songs from Django's extensive discography as a counter point to Joe's tracks, to create a stylistic and historical comparison/contrast. Perhaps fans of Django will be introduced to Joe Pass for the first time, and vice versa!
