American DJ & record producer, Steve Aoki, speaks to Oxford Union president, Louis Wilson, about his early days DJing & hosting parties and his love of science fiction & anime and his riotous onstage antics like throwing cake and surfing crowds on a raft at his gigs.
Aoki has released seven studio albums & collaborated with artists such as will.i.am, Afrojack & the Backstreet Boys. His album Wonderland was nominated for a Grammy in 2013. In his early 20s, he founded his own record label, Dim Mak records, working with the likes of Bloc Party.
