DIY Wooden Clog
Materials:
Wooden shoe
Sandpaper
Custom temporary tattoo paper
Inkjet or laser printer
Clear vanish
Paintbrush
Directions:
1. Begin by lightly sanding the wooden shoe with a fine grit sandpaper and then wipe it down with a clean cloth.
2. Design and print your monogram onto temporary tattoo paper. Be certain to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Do make certain to reverse the orientation of the letter so that it reads correctly on your shoe.
3. Carefully cut around your printed temporary tattoo, trimming it close to the design. Peel away the adhesive sheet and position the tattoo on your wooden shoe, printed side down. Apply a clean wet cloth to the backside of the tattoo and hold until the paper is saturated and easily slips off.
4. Ensure the temporary tattoo doesn’t rub off of the shoe by sealing it with a coat of clear varnish. Brush a coat over then entire exterior of the shoe and allow it to dry.
For extra protection you can always apply a second or third coat. Once the varnish is completely dry, your customized wooden shoe is ready to use or display.
Customized Wood Box
Materials:
Wood box
Sandpaper
Readymade temporary tattoos
Clear vanish
Acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Directions:
1. Begin by lightly sanding the wood box with a fine grit sandpaper and then wipe it down with a clean cloth.
2. Apply readymade temporary tattoos to the exterior of the box following the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Ensure the temporary tattoos don’t rub off of the box by sealing it with a coat of clear varnish. Brush a coat over then entire exterior of the box and allow it to dry. For extra protection you can always apply a second or third coat.
4. Paint the interior of the box with acrylic paint and allow to dry. Once the paint is completely dry, your customized wood box is ready to use or display.
