In with the cold, out with the bugs! My chickens have become total "foodies"! They turn their nose up to their daily chicken feed, so I thought to make a little protein snack for them since there are not many bugs in the yard right now. You can get most of the ingredients on Amazon (below).

In a little disc, I put about 1/4 cup of the snack to my 3 chickens about 2 times a week.
1/2 Cup Dry Roasted Unsalted Peanuts
1/2 Cup Roasted Unsalted Sunflower Kernels
1 Cup Steel Cut Oats
2 Cups Dried Meal Worms
About 1/4 Cup Loose Packed Dried Oregano Leaves
About 1/4 Cup Fennel Seeds
