DIY SUGAR SKULL WALL ART FROM A PLACEMAT pt. 3
When I found this placemat at the Halloween clearance rack for a couple of bucks, my mind started reeling with possibilities! Sugar skull wall art, here we come!
I incorporate the placemat directly in our modern and blingy design. I use spray paint to achieve a ombre effect and even spray paint some flowers to add as a 3-D flower crown on the skull. This sugar skull wall art recalls Day of the Dead and Cinco de Mayo traditions while still being modern. Frida Kahlo would be proud!

~ 16 x 20 canvas
~ Glue
~ Variety of spray paints
~ Silk flowers
~ Glue gun and glue sticks
~ White gloss spray paint
