Part 2 of my series in DIY rain water harvesting. My goal is to collect rain water for use around my property. I've already been using it for filling the kids pool.
In this part I'm preparing the IBC totes for storing water. IBC totes are thin plastic totes in a metal cage. They are often available on the secondary market inexpensive. The ones I bought were used one time for storing lime juice concentrate. So they are food grade. When I brought them home I cleaned and sanitized them in part 1 video.
The plastic I'm using is 6 mil black plastic from my local hardware store. below I linked to similar plastic available online.
