Phosphorescent bikes are fun to ride and great for security.Their major drawback is that the glow-in-the-dark paint is fading too quickly.
That's why we used UV LEDS to boost the glow while the wheel in spinning like in the nori lights project. However we did not use the bicycle rim because it is too thin and brake blocks would weaken the paint. Also LEDS are powered with a rechargeable smartphone power bank that can be found anywhere.
