The first in a series of "making of" videos where I make a super-basic printer controlled by an Arduino! I recorded pretty much every step of the way, so you should hopefully be able to follow the progress from pretty much nothing (here) to something that actually works.
I started this project almost a year ago, but I'm only uploading the videos now that I'm sure it actually gets somewhere and that I didn't just abandon it like I do with most of my projects.
The rest of the videos probably won't feature so much editing work - I just needed to do that in this video due to my explanations that would be too hard to follow if I just kept my speech and video of my hand moving enthusiastically in front of the camera.
I should've made a compilation of every time I said "Basically" at the end, basically.

This is a laser show created by ThePDI for Kotokos Suppuration -core-, played on Dnstjes 40kpps RGB laser projector. We kind of overdid it with the smoke machine at one point (that thing is overkill for such a small room).
The projector has a 400 mW red laser, 150 mW green laser and an 89 mW blue laser, although blue is barely used in this show. Having caused a lot of dead pixels on a previous camcorder of mine by having this projector shine directly onto its image sensor, I wasnt going to risk it again. Therefore I recorded this show from slightly underneath the projector instead of directly in front of it (I was less than a metre away from it).
The song is from the Ive Sound / Kotoko album Re-sublimity. I purposely did not overdub the song in high quality, so that people cant use my video to rip the song from, because YouTube seems to be becoming more and more stringent.")

I know its not much compared to most of the Touhou stepfiles out there, but for me, this is an achievement. xD
Recorded with my DCR-TRV270E camcorder, and Audacity on the computer recording live audio.
Video screen-in-screen effect applied with Premiere. Notice that the original camera view at the start has the monitor image quite small, and I zoom into it with Premiere. Thats why the main image becomes a bit pixellated, but the keyboard view stays good quality (because I didnt zoom into that view - I wanted it to remain small).

This isnt that interesting 100th video that Im still preparing, but I decided to make at least a little something, since its been so long since my last video. The celebrations will just have to come when theyre ready.
Im sure someone will complain about me using the same, out-of-tune piano as always, but theyre quite welcome to buy a better one for me. =)

Keeping with tradition, a bunch of people did the Caramelldansen and ended up with a whole line of dancers as people joined in as the song played.
This was at London MCM Expo on the 24th of May 2009. Im really glad I bothered to start recording. xD")
