I couldn't find any evidence regarding Farnsworth nuclear fusion reactor being built as a standalone vacuum tube (or more like, ionic tube), but rather only as a lab test setup, either bulky, or junky, or even both (and, actually, most of them being fake/demo fusors with no neutron emission).
So... I decided to make one myself. From glass, stainless steel and tungsten. And deuterium, of course.
This video depicts the glassblowing routines of making such a FFaaST device (or, shortly, a fusor tube). In the following parts I'll tell about vacuum pumping, high voltage source, and neutron emission measurements.
