Happy New years! Wow its almost 2016. The time goes by so fast, it's crazy! This tutorial features an easy DIY Fortune Cookie recipe that is super delish! Not only are they delicious but they look real good too. To tie in with the New Year's theme, we put some gold accents!
Customize your cookies to what ever color you like. Dip them into chocoloate, drizzle them with peanuts, or edible glitter ! However you want to dress them up is up to you. These cookies are also perfect for a cute wedding favor, birthdays and all other occasions.
Here are some tips to make your perfect fortune cookies ...
- Print or handwrite your fortunes beforehand, go to my FB for a template! facebook.com/ClaCali
- Cookies should be 4 inches all around, big enough so you can mould it while its warm
- When putting the batter on parchment paper, it shouldn't be too thick but also not too thin. They are too think if you start to see bubbles!
- To start, bake only 2 cookies at a time because you will have to work on them while hot
- If the 2nd cookie hardens, put it back in the oven until its soft again
- Gold lustre and gold spray mist can be purchased from Michaels
