I made this stylish playhouse style floor bed for a toddler to keep their noggins safe should they roll off the bed in the middle of the night. It's made with 2x4 material which I planned smooth and joined with half lap joints in the pentagonal area. It has knock down joinery (screws) for the runners for ease of storage / moving.
