How to make a boho style macrame wall hanging. Please see below for measurements and written instructions:

This wall hanging is made using lark's head knot, double half hitch knots, berry knots, square knots, and reverse double half hitch knots! This DIY wall hanging is an intermediate pattern, so I recommend being comfortable tying each knot before creating this piece.

💛 My Guide to Macrame: graywonders.retrieve.com/store

The finished wallhanging measures in at approximately 12in (30.5cm) wide by 23in (58.4cm) long.

🧵 ROPE USED:
- 4mm single strand twisted cotton cord in the color sage. I couldn't find where I bought this rope from, sorry!

MEASUREMENTS:
TOTAL CORD:
- 4 x 10ft (3m)
- 4 x 8ft (2.4m)
- 36 x 28in (71cm)
**Note, I would wait until the main portion of your wall hanging is made before cutting the fringe pieces. You may be able to utilize scrapes from this section as fringe.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Attach 4 cords to the left size of your dowel rod with a lark's head knot. The order in length should go: 8ft, 10ft, 10ft, 8ft.

2) Use the left cord as your filler cord and tie 7 double half hitch knots (DHHKs) moving down, diagonal, and to the right.

3) Take the four cords in the middle and tie a berry knot (BK).

4) Use the filler cords now on the right and tie 7 DHHKs moving down, diagonal, and to the left.

5) Now we will be repeating this pattern until there is a total of 4 BKs. You want the last line of DHHKs to be pointing towards the right.

6) Attach 4 more cords to the right side of the dowel rod in the order of length: 8ft, 10ft, 8ft, 10ft. Repeat the same pattern on the left, but this time start by taking the filler cord from the right. Once you have repeated the pattern a total of 4 times, the last line of DHHKs should be pointing towards the left, and line up with the section on the left.

7) Connect the 2 sections together by tying the 2 filler cords together (inner most cords) with a DHHK.

8) Now tie a diamond pattern in the center. Do this by taking the right filler cord down to the left and tying 3 DHHKs. Then take the left filler cord down to the right and tie 3 DHHKs.

9)Create a BK for the inside of the diamond using the 4 cords in the middle.

10) Close the diamond by bringing the left filler cord down to the right and tying 3 DHHKs. Take the right filler cord down to the left and tie 3 DHHKs. Connect the filler cords together with another DHHK.

11) Take the 2 cords are the very far left, and the 2 cords on the very far right. Tie these together with a square knot (SK). The SK will act as a new layer, and should sit below the diamond pattern.

12) Repeat the overlapping SK a 2nd time with the next 2 cords on the far left and right. This SK should sit right below the previous SK.

13) Attach the fringe pieces (28in long) to the outer cords of the project. There will be 3 sections on both the left and right side. Attach 6 cords to each section with a reverse lark's head knot.

14) Trim any ends as needed to complete the wall hanging.
