#48 In this video I look at a mostly forgotten way of building switching supplies - by using relays!. It's quite an interesting idea that was used on a large scale and mass produced at one point to generate the high voltage used in vacuum tube circuits but since its various problems it became quite rare and forgotten. So just to be clear, there are other ways of building SMPS not just with semiconductor components but also electro mechanical component.
