Step by step instuctions for making a Grip style belt buckle. Both solid walnut and teak/aluminum laminant designs are demonstrated.
UPDATE: I have refined the design and found that two factors will increase the function of these buckles. (1) Sand to taper the ends of the buckles making them thinner near the end. (2) Fold a piece of #220 sandpaper and thread it through the slots. Pull this sandpaper back and forth through the slots to slightly round the sharp edges.
