NYC CNC | DIY Fine Adjust for NOGA Mag Base | Design, CAD/CAM, + Machining @nyccnc | Uploaded September 2020 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
Fine adjust bases are great for sensitive dial indicators. While all of them have an adjustment knob at the top, once it's set on the tool, it's difficult to keep it from moving while dialing it in. That's why we wanted to reverse engineer this NOGA fine adjust base and add them to the indicators that don't have it. With the fine adjust at the bottom, it's so much easier to get it positioned and dialed. This is a great DIY project for machinists of any level. We'll talk about how to design it, CAD and CAM tips and tricks, and more!
