How to make ANY Countertop look like REAL Quartz step by step ⬇️
- Build new countertops from MDF, or prep existing countertops by cleaning, degreasing, repairing, sanding with 60 grit, and applying Bonding Primer only if going over an old non-porous countertop surface.
- Apply two thin coats of Stone Coat Epoxy Undercoat in white or black.
- Mix Speedcure Countertop PRO at 1 oz per sq. ft. and tint it to match the flake blend.
- Roll Speedcure evenly and broadcast Hybrid Quartz flake until no glossy epoxy shows.
- Let cure 4–5 hours, then scrape and keep loose flake with light pressure.
- Lightly sand with 220 grit to knock down tall flakes, then vacuum clean.
- Apply the first epoxy flood coat at 4 oz per sq. ft. with optional Diamond Dust.
- Prep and apply the second flood coat at 4 oz per sq. ft.; sand first if the prior coat cured over 24 hours.
- Sand the cured surface and edges smooth.
- Apply Ultimate Top Coat – Glossy for the best quartz-look durability and shine.
