Solar Eclipse, here’s how to watch the eclipse without damaging your eyes.
A Solar Eclipse is when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, blocking out the sun for several minutes.
If you want to watch the eclipse safely, we'll show you how to do it using a shoe box. They call this a Shoe Box Solar Viewer or a Pinhole Projector because the image of the eclipse is projected through the pinhole onto the back of the box.
All you’ll need a shoe box, scissors, foil, a piece of paper, some tape and a pencil.
Using your scissors or other cutting tool make two rectangle holes in one end of the box.
Cover one of the holes by taping a piece of foil over it. Then poke a small hole into it with your pencil or another pointy object.
Then tape a piece of white paper on the inside of the box on the opposite end.
Put the lid on the box, the light will pass through the hole in the foil and project on the piece of paper in the back.
Now look through the viewfinder hole but make sure your back is to the sun.
