Second part of my DIY Dremel CNC project is finally ready, I have all of the parts so we can start assembling the frame. I faced some problems with the shipping company (InPost) and that’s why this video is so late. I hope you will like it if so give it thumbs up and check out first part if you didn’t yet:

My project is going pretty well so far, all of the parts fit together perfectly, but I broke some 3d printed elements. Linear bearings work perfect on 12mm rods and lead screws seem to work just fine. Aluminium profiles are great for such a small CNC machine, easy to buy, cheap and pleasant to work with. Machine is quite heavy but that’s a good thing because it will be more stable.
What we will need, amount in ():
-Dremel tool
-Aluminum Profiles 20x20x600mm (5): goo.gl/DtTTiD
-12mm rod (about 2 meters): goo.gl/QKg2bN
-500mm long trapezoidal lead screw 8mm (2): goo.gl/paVrpV
-300mm long trapezoidal lead screw 8mm (2): goo.gl/paVrpV
-12mm linear bearing (12): goo.gl/uA5ho4
-5 to 8mm coupler (5): goo.gl/YPHCY6
-T nut (50): goo.gl/BNi4zf
-Screws: goo.gl/2USpv5
-Arduino+CNC shield+stepper drivers: goo.gl/516Bue
-Power supply: goo.gl/NfkWaT
-Stepper motors (4): goo.gl/7juH9o
And here are some of the tools:
-3D printer: goo.gl/1CaJDT
-Thread tap: goo.gl/rtuyZ4
-Cordless drill: goo.gl/x7oWzr
My design: a360.co/2LeZZVf
STL files: thingiverse.com/thing:3004773
Aluminum profiles:
2x 60cm long, 4x 30cm long
Rods:
2x 53cm long, 2x 31cm long, 2x 14cm long
Lead screws:
2x 50cm long, 1x27cm long, 1x 12cm long
I always wanted to have one of those fancy CNC machines that can mill metals. It's cool and it gives you so many possibilities for next projects! I already have few ideas for projects with a CNC machine :)
