In this video I show the D.I.Y. steps I took to simply find a couple points on a complex curved surface or contour and modify the cutting program CNC gcode so that my CNC cutting table can cut out a hole for a pipe bung to be welded in. This can be used on any CNC plasma, Laser, Router, or Water Jet Table with no torch height control needed, just simple modifications to the machine code. This made welding to tube fittings into the end of this stainless steel tank end cap easy with the fiber laser welder.
