note: you will need a 3-4 hour window of time to thoroughly infuse the heated oil with your herb/flower/spice inclusions. Check the bottom pan of your double boiler from time to time, and add more water as necessary. Pro tip: Once the oil is thoroughly heated, I move the pan to my stove top's warming burner to insure a gentle yet thorough infusion process. If you adopt this method, don't forget to continue checking the water level in the lower pan of your double boiler.

**although the ingredients in this particular recipe are all safely ingested, it's a very good idea to establish the practice of using a dedicated double boiler for work of this nature that's kept separate from your ordinary collection of pots and pans**

Ingredients list:

red rose petals (2 parts)
jasmine flowers (2 parts)
lavender buds (2 parts)

1 teaspoon dried orange peel
2 star anise seed pods
5 allspice berries

you can stop right there to create a nicely balanced and effective oil. You can also customize it with another layer of phytochemical and vibrational inluence by adding:

1-4 inclusions related to your established plant affinities/local area/magical practice/intuitive guidance system. I used:

Tulsi/holy basil (1 part)
mixed hawthorn leaves and flowers (1 part)
hawthorn berries (3-7)
mixed lemon balm and spearmint (2 parts)
