In this video i will show you how i turned the free sideboard in to a beautiful piece on bone inlay style furniture. I used my Cricut Maker to create my own custom stencils. I show you how to sand and paint the furniture wit the base coat ready for stencilling. You could also do this with ikea furniture for a great Ikea hack!
I then show you how i created the custom stencils in Cricut Design Space and show you the leaf motif i used to create all the leaf swirls as well as how i created the borders and made the design work for each drawer front, door and panel of the furniture. I then show you some tips on applying the stencil to painted wood and what paints i used to get a pearlescent finish.
You will then see a fun little timelapse montage of me adding the pretty gold semi circle handles, making a new base to replace the old legs, whipping up a quick modern wall art piece using joint compound and styling.
