Asbestos can be found in many homes and surprisingly it was still being used in building products up until about the year 2000, even though it is common knowledge that asbestos causes lung disease including mesothelioma for decades. Asbestos can be found in lots of items around the home including floor tiles, asbestos soffits and textured ceilings. In this video I test three textured ceilings for asbestos using a test kit from azzykit. Textured ceilings containing asbestos are not a problem, as long as you leave them alone and do not go cutting into them or drilling them.
