First Time I Dove Head First Into The Water To Catch A Python. Today’s python hunt took a wild turn when I had to dive into the water to stop a 12-foot python from escaping. We had been seeing signs of a massive female, finding multiple male pythons concentrated in one area and even discovering what we think is her lair. The mystery of her whereabouts kept us pushing forward, searching islands and scanning every hiding spot. Just when we thought she might have moved on, I spotted a python and had no choice but to dive on it and grab it before it disappeared.
