Ghost Of Tsushima "Divine Wind" is an original song that I composed inspired by the #GhostOfTsushima game and the Mongol invasion that happened in the year of 1274.

Ghost Of Tsushima is one of the most beautiful games that I have ever seen, with an incredible story. As far as I researched the game is based on a real historical event, occurred around the year 1274, when the Mongol empire tried to dominate the Japanese lands. The Mongols were used to kill their enemies in a "dirty" way, getting advantage of all resources to prevail. The samurai who were in much smaller numbers never saw this type of enemy before.

In order to survive and to protect his people, a samurai named Jin Sakai needed to break his honor code and started to learn the enemy dirty skills against themselves. However, even with all effort it was very difficult to deal with an overwhelming amount of enemies. Historically, there were two invasions with around 500 big ships and 300-400 Chinese and Korean small ships which at that time were part of the Mongol empire and only 80 mounted samurai against all of them.

During the game the main character is aided by the wind, which guides his path. On these two invasions the entire Mongol fleet was wiped out of the sea by a huge typhoon, and this nature phenomena became know as "Kamikaze" or "Divine Wind", that's the real reason behind this song name.

I composed this song by the "wind entity/goddess" point of view which is played by my friend Danielle Pirassoli. Also the "wind" itself is played by my friend Vivian Navarro. Nothing better than a flute to represent the wind right?
