Sommer Kinsler knows what it means to dive in at Jacksonville University! It’s just her freshman year and she’s already Vice-President of the Student Government Association, is a member of esteemed vocal ensembles University Singers and Infinitus and greek life, is performing in several plays, and single-handedly directed the Black History Month Concert on campus! Sommer says that this is a place to be seen and heard, not hide in the crowd. And she’s right. At Jacksonville University, professors, staff, and peers challenge students to get involved and get hands-on experience, whether it directly relates to their major or not.
