Solo Wild Camping on King’s Tor, Dartmoor | Exploring the Disused Princetown Railway & Foggintor Quarry
Join me for a solo wild camping adventure on King’s Tor in the heart of Dartmoor National Park. Starting from Princetown, I follow the route of the disused railway line, stopping to explore the atmospheric Foggintor Quarry along the way.
This time I’m camping solo in the Hilleberg Soulo, which proved to be incredibly comfortable. While King’s Tor isn’t the highest point on Dartmoor, it offers breathtaking panoramic views, rugged granite outcrops, and plenty of ideal wild camping spots.
In the video, I also delve into a bit of local history—discussing the old railway’s purpose and visiting the remote King Tor Halt station, a fascinating relic of Dartmoor’s industrial past.
