For generations, history has been told in reverse. Many Black Americans are beginning to question the narratives that were handed down and are exploring the possibility that their roots in this land go much deeper than what mainstream history teaches.
In this video, we talk about identity, history, and the growing movement of people reclaiming what they believe to be their Indigenous American heritage. This is about self-knowledge, dignity, and refusing to let others define who we are.
For many of us, this isn’t about division — it’s about understanding our story, respecting our ancestors, and standing firm in the truth of our identity. The disrespect toward our history and identity will not be tolerated.
It’s time to have the conversation.
