Dispatch just launched on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 — and it’s honestly one of the best games on the platform. So why did Nintendo step in and change it?!
This is a full Dispatch review on Switch 2, because despite the controversy, the game itself is a 10/10 experience with incredible writing, performances, world-building, and choice-driven storytelling.
But there’s something genuinely strange going on.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Dispatch forces a visual content filter ON at all times, removing graphic imagery that players can freely toggle on other platforms. Profanity can be turned off — but graphic content cannot. That’s a major difference, especially when Nintendo has allowed (and promoted) far more explicit games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
