These are all Science activities from the game Disney's The Jungle Book: Key Stage 1 released in 2003. Help repairing the clock, name the animals and body parts and then solve the enigma!
Activities:
Animal Cards:
The Explorer left behind a lot of things, including cards on which he had classified all the animals he knew from home.
Watch out, they sting!:
One of the paths that Baloo and Mowgli need to take is being heavily guarded by a swarm of angry bees. These bees will try to sting Mowgli unless Baloo can make them "buzz off"!
What's the time, day and month?:
The Explorer built a clock, but unfortunately it doesn't work any more. Jacko tells you that behind the clock there is the entrance to where the "magical object" is hidden.
Parachute Jumping:
To get to Gaspard's kitchen, Mowgli and Baloo have to parachute off a very high cliff. Baloo safely secures parachutes to his own and Mowgli's back.
Marbles:
Baloo and Mowgli have finally arrived at the entrance to the temple. Unfortunately the temple door is locked.
The Final Enigma:
Congratulations! You have finally completed the challenges given to you by your jungle friends. However, you still need to crack a code to get to the magical object.
Cooking:
Gaspard the monkey is a chef, of sorts! He likes to cook but doesn't seem to ever eat what he has made.

The program has been developed specifically by Key Stage One teachers from the UK based on the National Curriculum and using relevant UK teaching methods. Come and join Baloo the bear and Mowgli the mancub from the Disney movie The Jungle Book in their adventures to find a magical object that will prevent Shere Khan the dreaded tiger from attacking and killing Mowgli. Curriculum content includes English (spelling, sentence construction, following instructions, syllables, reading comprehension and word recognition), Maths (addition and subtraction, measurement, counting and place value, time, shape and space) and science (variation and classification and the Human Body). The program has an "auto-levelling" system that allows it to detect your child's level in each activity.
An excellent, comprehensive pamphlet accompanies the package and a work book containing the type of exercises included on the CD-ROM allows for further practice and reinforcement away from the PC.
