An exciting way for Disney to continue to build upon and celebrate their legacy would be to make a theatrically released sequel to Walt Disney's 1950 animated classic Cinderella, preferably one utilizing modern technology and 3D computer animation to put it on the same scale as contemporary Disney films like Frozen and Moana (though I do want them to start making traditional 2D animated movies again because they're magical af).
Remember how exciting it was to see all the Disney Princesses get 3D CG incarnations in Ralph Break the Internet and how we got a further taste of their personalities and capabilities? Yeah, we should explore that. Forget direct-to-DVD sequels...let's give these classics the same attention and grandness that Frozen gets. Let's have a huge Cinderella movie that encompasses Disney's legacy with the title, building off of the original, incorporating elements of the 2015 live-action version (as well as Lily James' portrayal of Ella), paying homage to the direct-to-video sequels (especially Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time), and having an awareness of the character/property's impact on culture. So Disney, I'd like to see ya do a little bibbido-bobbidi-boo and make this happen.
