Being a huge fan of both Disney and Avatar, inspiration and ideas just kept on coming whenever I thought about this project- and I soon realised that I needed more than just one video to tell Mulan's story. More info about the new serie is further down in the description.

But wait, there's more! A little bird whispered into my ear that a absolutely extraordinary project is currenty in development. I can't tell you anything about it for the moment – but believe me, it's gonna be awesome!


• STORY | Episode 1 - Reflection of fate
Avatar Mulan & her closest friend (and crush) Aladdin travels through the Earth Kingdom when a group of bandits attacks their campsite. Even though the pair is outnumbered, they easily gains the upper hand and fights off the intruders one by one. However, one unexpected water-attack became lethal as a icespear pierced into Aladdin's torso- to the bandits delight, and to Mulan's despair.
The men begins to mock the pair and celebrate their victory- causing Mulan's emotions to go out of control, and she goes reflexively into the avatar state. With the unusual subskill lavabending, she scares off the group- but is soon pulled into the spritdimension by a unknown force.
Miguel, the previous avatar, appears infront of Mulan and tries to console her by explaining that Aladdin brought balance to her life- and that she now have to continue to bring balance to the world. Anger and sorrow will only lead to chaos- and the first step to begin healing is to forgive. Mulan- who grew up among devoted pacifists- couldn't do anything else but agree with the wise avatar, and when she had calmed down, she was sent back into her body. Seeing the devastation around her caused her heart to bleed once more, and she promised herself that she would always fight for balance.


• ABOUT THE SERIE:
In the serie we will follow the young Avatar Mulan on her journey to master all four elements- and find inner balance. It will all take place in the Avatar-universe, and I will keep everything as canon as possible. However, since there's only a little facts about the years between Wan and Aang- I will include my own ideas for what could've happend.
TWIST: I will only use footage from Atla or LoK if it's absolutely necessary, otherwise I will go with N/Disney or other animes.
- The episodes will not have any subtitles, as I want to work with the visual storytelling instead of working after a script. But I will write down everything that's important to know in the description.
- The time between episodes will vary, since it does take alot of time to edit a video- and because I want to work on other projects as well.


• TRIVIA
- Mulan is the Air-Nomad Avatar before both Yangchen and Aang. However, originally it should've been a male.
- Even though it isn't shown in the video, Mulan's tattoos goes down her arms and legs.
- In the flashback- Abu can be seen together with Aladdin & Mulan. Prior to the current event, the monkey got separated from the two.
- Aladdin comes from the FireNation, and he's a non-bender. He is however an outstanding swordsman.
- It's Aladdin who does the opening narration.
- The bandits were all born with bendingability in the different nations; Sinbad - FireNation, Kale - WaterTribe, Rat - AirNomads, & a unnamed male - EarthKingdom. (A sidestory about Rat and the other bandits will be featured on my tumblr) The fifth bandit, Jed, is a nonbender.
- The way Mulan is pulled into the spiritdemension while in the avatar state by Miguel resembles to when Avatar Roku appears infront of Aang in B2Ep1 "The avatar state", and explains the risks with using it.
- Miguel's spirit is supposed to look older- with grey eyebrows & beard, wrinkles around his mouth, and bald. The concept around him is created by a fellow editor – whose name will be revealed in the future.
- After 4 months of editing + a shitass long renderingtime, mistakes were found in the video. I'm very much awere of them- so please be kind ;D
