Disney VS Sony Rant & Breakdown! I'm so tired of watching Disney walk all over Hollywood. I'm also tired of watching big media companies argue over who makes more of my money vs how they can create better films.
Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man, their biggest franchise. Marvel currently has a deal with them that earns them 5% of revenue from the agreement. Disney decided that 5% wasn't enough, instead - THEY WANT 50%! You're out to lunch. Not only can Sony not afford that, but they shouldn't have to.
If these companies want to argue, I want to see them argue over how to make the best film possible & use the character in the most respectful of ways. I DON'T want to see them argue about who makes more off of the money I pay to see the character on screen.
