Disney Princess Facts! #snowwhite #bettyboop #waltdisney #disneyshorts #shorts
The Snow White we all love and recognize today, with her innocent and sweet appearance, wasn't always envisioned this way.
In the early sketches, she had large eyes, long eyelashes, and pouty red lips, bearing a striking resemblance to Betty Boop.
This similarity was due to animator Grim Natwick, one of two snow white lead designers, who had previously worked at Fleischer Studios, where he created and animated Betty Boop.
However, Walt Disney was not satisfied with these initial drawings. He felt she appeared too seductive and not befitting a princess.
Disney wanted Snow White to embody innocence and wholesomeness, and he insisted on peasant-style clothing to ensure she didn't look alluring in any way.
