It’s Been Almost 27 Years Since Brandy Became Disney’s First Black Princess and now it 2024 she is reprising her role in the latest Descendants movie, The Rise of Red with her original on screen prince, Paolo Montalban.
This First multi-racial cast performing Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella broke viewership records when it debuted on the 2nd of November 1997, and as well as holding the record for the bestselling video for a made-for-TV movie.
Whitney Houston was the movies producer and was supposed to star as Cinderella until she decided that Brandy would make a much better Cinderella. Although Brandy did say that she would not do it unless her idol Whitney took the Fairy Godmother role.
