AIIA WA, in partnership with the Centre for Muslim States and Societies UWA, hosted a discussion with Peter Greste. Peter is an award-winning Australian journalist who, amid violent clashes in Egypt between supporters of the ousted Muslim Brotherhood government and the military in 2014, was arrested and charged with multiple of terrorism offences.
Peter visited Perth as part of the launch of the film "The Correspondent" which is adapted from his 2017 memoir and is in cinemas nationally on 17th April. He shared his reflections as a long-term observer of international relations seen through the lens of a foreign correspondent.
