Unfortunately my video ended abruptly without me realizing it.

I was just jammering about my personal experience with what was probably Post Partum OCD Anxiety. Although it's disruptive and very upsetting, the difference between PP OCD Anxiety and PP Psychosis Is that someone in Psychosis believes what they imagine is true, while the mother experiencing PP OCD knows her thoughts are irrational and not true, and her instincts are to be hyper protective of her baby. A mother in Psychosis,on the other hand, is an immediate threat to herself and her child.

If you or anyone you know is suffering from intrusive postpartum thoughts, please share it with your loved ones and also seek professional help.

I wish I had 39 years ago, so I could have been told it was an irrational but harmless fear. In my case the fear left naturally but in PPP, those thoughts will not go away naturally and will only escalate and result in tragedy. ~ Marilyn
