Ana Mo Shoshin | Discussing Horror | What kind of horror books do I like? | My Favorite Horror Books | Riley Marie @AnaMoShoshin | Uploaded May 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Hi, I’m Mo.
This video was inspired by Riley Marie. In a recent video (youtu.be/SwtDNr5tj_8) she breaks down the three levels or categories of horror books. I found this really interesting and just the push I needed to get this video out. I had been thinking for a while about styles of horror, micro genres,. paths, levels, etc... as well as the difference between disturbing books and horror books.
Even though I'm kinda new to reading horror, some of my all time favorite books fall into the genre. Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, and The Island of Dr Moreau are all favorite books form before I started watching booktube!
Exploring what I like about certain genres and books in general is something I want to do more of for the 2nd half of the year.
What are some of your favorite books that fall under the horror genre.
People, channels and videos mentioned:
@RileyMarie_ youtu.be/SwtDNr5tj_8 where she describes the levels is at 26:22 but you should watch the whole video bc she's awesome.
