After recently playing my first ever QBBoss map on Stream which turned out to actually be far ahead of it's time and pretty revolutionary it is now time to head into the next experience of something he build! And this time it's a giant maze which is usually not a thing I'm a giant fan of in video games but this one ended up being quite a lot more interesting than your standart labyrinth!
The concept alone was pretty cool, he build four seperate maps that are all based on the same maze layout but all 4 had a different premise and their own seperate tasks, quests and storylines! The cool part though was seeing parts used during the quests of the other segments return in one of the other maps to always remind you of things you have already played through and as a nice nod to the past. The idea behind this map alone is a 10/10 and it's really really well done and excecuted, I loved going on a completely new and custom action adventure again in this custom map!
The only downsides were a bit on the technical part, it sadly does show that Harry Potter 3 does not have it's own dedicated editor for custom maps and that everything looks a lot less nice, vibrant and smooth as it could. On top of that it also makes the custom cutscenes and events look very clunky and wooden and overally sort of ruins the immersion. That toppled of with a good couple of possible softlocks and small issues did give us some troubles throughout this map that lower the overall score a little bit.
Had a blast with this map though so I would still give it a very god 8/10!
