Climate change will come with costs – from carbon pricing to more coastal erosion. Per New Zealand's climate-related disclosure standards, current and anticipated financial impacts of climate change risks and opportunities must be reported to investors.

WSP's Matt Raeburn and Brigitte Hicks will talk through a real-world example of how a company is approaching the challenge of calculating climate-related financial impacts.

An External Reporting Board representative will join to speak to the XRB’s pioneering Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards, issued in December. The Standards align with the internationally adopted Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework.

WSP's speakers:
Matt Raeburn - Principal – Climate Change and Sustainability
Brigitte Hicks - Senior Consultant - Sustainability

Guest speaker: Jack Bisset - Policy Manager – Climate and Sustainability, External Reporting Board (XRB)
