Introduced to great fanfare by Kodak in 1982, Disc Cameras used an innovative film format featuring exposures mounted on a flat plastic disc, which allowed for an extremely compact film format and quick and easy film reloading. But while initially very popular, due to various technical issues such as poor-quality enlargements, the concept ultimately failed and the cameras were pulled off the market in 1988.
