0:25 - Columbus had three ships on his first voyage. Here I am showing only two as the third one was missing when all of this happened.
0:30 - The exact location of the colony and the way it looked like is unknown. Therefor what you see is just an artistic representation of what it may have looked like.
1:26 = I meant to say mountains in the Cibao region as there is no Cibao mountain range.
1:31 - Plus some extra goods given from the other ship.
1:44 - I forgot to count the leaders of the colony and the fort which where, Diego de Arana, Pedro Gutierrez and Rodrigo de Escobedo. So in total 39 men where left behind.
1:47 - It was named La Navidad due to the fact that it was established around the Christmas holiday. It was also most likely named Fort La Navidad (or Fort Navidad) but in all the writings I read people just called it "La Navidad".
2:19 - Technically the old “Asian” world as Columbus still thought he was somewhere in undiscovered South East Asia.
2:25 - However he took a couple of detours on other islands before finally coming to La Navidad.
3:30 - Later the Europeans accused the chief of Jaragua and not Magua. However this accusation was largely made up as it makes little sense why the Spaniards would go to Jaragua instead of Magua where even Guacangari mentioned the gold comes from. Plus Guacanagari's brother mentions it was Caonabo who organised the attack, which later Columbus finds is the ruler of the Cibao region in Magua not Jaragua.
4:05 - Not shown in the animation was the fact that the Europeans also had several canons with them which they almost certainly used in the defense of the colony.
