The sandfish can be found in the Calico Desert. It is a regular and very common fish here. However using bait and reels will help increase your productivity out here. It costs 500 G to ride the bus and get here. Sandfish can also be sold for quite a bit of money so it can be profitable.
If you haven't unlocked the bus yet you will need to spend thousands of dollars at the Community Centre to unlock the vault.
