My very first attempt at this game. It's really quite much harder than any of the previous dirt games, but it kinda feels like it is in a good way.
There's no map, just your co-driver reading it to you so you really have to pay attention to what he's saying and the icons coming up. It's also really penalizing on any mistakes as you get a 15 or 10 second penalty if you go off or have to reset your car. Your car will also take damage and you can only repair once you've driven 2 out of the 4 events so being to reckless will obviously not work out that well.
I went through the first season with 1960's and finished forth finishing 1m37s behind the winner. You can restart any event but I did not this time. If you don't you'll get bonus credits which are used to buy new cars in different tournaments.
Driving FWD is also a pain in the ass since the car will just go forward when you're braking and you have to rely heavily on the handbrake. I also had a very hard time trying to figure out when I was supposed to brake in order to not just plunge straight ahead in to a rock or another obstacle.
Even though I didn't do particularly well and I certainly didn't expect to, I still found it fun and I'll try to become a bit better at it. Seems like there's quite a lot to do still for an early access game.
