I picked up DiRT2 the other day (I have a new found obsession with racing games) and the graphics in this game are much, MUCH better than Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and this game is 1 year older! It utilized Direct X 11 which is great because my system also supports it.

The graphics, sound, UI menus are alll awesome. Need for Speed could learn a lesson or two for the UI and menu system, everything is so streamlined and graphical unlike NFS:Hot Pursuit's rather boring and ugly UI.

The gameplay however.
Dear god.
Just NO.

DiRT2? More like iCERiNK2! You'll find yourself spinning and sliding and crashing into walls due to unresponsive breaks. The down arrow key brakes ever so slightly, but the spacebar handbrake will make you spin out of control with the slightest tap.

Bottom line: You NEED a controller or a wheel to play this game.

Of the 20+ races I've played with DiRT2 so far, this is my neatest one. And even then, look at how bad I drive.. on the "Easy" setting.
