As part of the "Egypt Eternal" tour with Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East director Peter Der Manuelian, he describes this beautifully decorated 22nd Dynasty coffin of Ankh-khonsu (ca. 940 BCE) is made from sycamore fig wood and inscribed with large hieroglyphs detailing his titles and spells. During recent conservation and 3D scanning efforts, a hidden painting of the falcon-headed sun god Ra-Horakhty was discovered inside the coffin, still visible beneath ancient sacred oils. Both this and a companion coffin from Thebes, now bodyless, are highlights of the museum's collection.
