Donor insemination refers to when a sperm donor is used to help an individual or couple conceive. In known or directed sperm donation, the sperm donor is known to the recipient(s), such as a family member or close friend. When using a directed donor, it is strongly recommended that both the intended parents and donor receive legal counseling so everyone involved is informed and legally protected.
RMA of New York’s Third Party Team is committed to guiding intended parents through the donor insemination process. Composed of fertility specialists, nurse practitioners, and other members of the clinical staff, the Third Party Team is a concierge service that assists individuals in need of an egg and/or sperm donor, and/or a gestational surrogate.
